Make your nails grow strong and healthy with these 5 natural treatments!
These nails – improving homemade recipes are quick, simple and easy to make, and I’m pretty sure that all the ingredients are already there in your kitchen.
1.Ground red pepper for nail growth
Mix a teaspoon of ground red pepper with a few drops of boiling water. Apply this paste on your nails and let it work for 15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water. The vitamin A from the ground red pepper will help improve your nail structure.
2.Lemon & honey for cracked nails repair
Squeeze half a lemon and mix the juice with one tablespoon of honey. Massage this mixture on your nails and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. Honey will nourish your nails and fight off bacteria, while the lemon will provide some vitamin C.
3. Salt & iodine for strengthening your nails
Mix a teaspoon of salt with a few drops of iodine. Stir until you get a thick paste. Rub this paste on your nails once a week, then continue to use it more frequently, 3-5 times a week.
The iodine reduces nails breakage and it’s a great nail strengthener. The minerals from salt soften up the cuticles and strengthen the nails.
4. Honey , cocoa powder & coconut oil for damaged nails
Mix together a teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of coconut oil and a teaspoon of cacao powder. Massage your nails and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water. Cacao is a great source of sulfur, which makes the nails grow strong. The coconut oil keeps the nails moisturized, stimulates nail growth and treats nail fungus.
5. Lemon for brighter nails
Cut a lemon in half, squeeze it, and place your nails into the lemon peel for 10 minutes, then wash your hands. The acid from the lemon will brighten up your nails.
