Back to School Drugstore Makeup Essentials

It’s that time of year when you need to start packing up and moving back to school. Of course, cute notebooks, post it notes, binders and stickers are essential, but if you like to wear makeup every day, here’s a list of affordable, time-saving, must have makeup picks.

FoundationMaybelline Fit Me– need I say more? If you still haven’t tried out this foundation, you need to get it ASAP! A cult product and one of my favorite drugstore foundations, Fit Me stays on through classes and hours of studying & looks so natural. It doesn’t get cakey, feels very light on the skin and it’s so affordable!

Concealer. Another Maybelline cult product, the Age Rewind concealer does wonders for those under eye dark circles. As a law student, I guarantee this wonder stick will conceal all those sleepless nights! It’s so light, blends out easily and brightens up the eye area without any creasing.

Bronzer. Who has time for contouring anyways? Grab the Murumuru Butter Bronzer and quickly shape your face with just a few strokes. It will stay on throughout the day and won’t move around your makeup!

Blush. If you feel like adding just a little bit more color to your cheeks, this blush palette by e.l.f. cosmetics is all you need. It holds 4 beautiful shades with both matte and shimmer finishes that will do the work throughout the year and it’s super affordable!

Eyebrows. Defined eyebrows can make such a huge difference in shaping your face. My eyebrows aren’t naturally thick, I’m actually missing a few hairs so I never ever skip this step. When I’m in a rush I just pick up a brow pencil and quickly fill in my eyebrows. Pomades and gels can be time consuming, so this Loreal eyebrow pencil is the perfect choice for busy mornings.

Eyeliner. Creating that perfect winged line is such a struggle, I used to not even bother to do it in the mornings. Discovering the Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner though has totally changed my makeup routine! You can get the thinnest, sharpest line with this small tip (without poking your eyes out) and it’s super easy to use, especially if you have shaky hands like me. However if you don’t like liquid liners, you can always go for an eye pencil and quickly outline your eyes.

Eyeshadow. Usually I don’t have time for a smokey eye, but I always define my crease with a warm toned eyeshadow. I absolutely love the Loreal Infallible 24hr shadows – these are so easy to apply, stay on for hours and come in gorgeous shades. If you like to blend both mattes and shimmers, this Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow palette is a great pick. The shades are so pretty, it’s affordable and so easy to use!

Mascara. Does anyone have time for applying false lashes in the am? The Loreal Lash Paradise mascara will give you insane length, volume and rich color. It doesn’t smudge or flake and stays on throughout the day, so you can totally skip falsies and get gorgeous lashes in a minute!

Lipstick. A liquid lipstick is the perfect pick for long, busy days. The Super Stay Matte Ink Color is the latest lip product by Maybelline and it’s soo good! It’s long wearing, comfortable, easy to apply and the shades are just stunning.

Setting spray. Lastly, spray on some setting spray to finish off your look and set your makeup for the entire day.

  1. I’ve heard so much great stuff about the Maybelline Age Rewind! I really want to give it a try, but I want to make sure it’s really as good as everyone says :p
