Essence Satin Touch Blush review and swatch

I’ve been using Essence cosmetics for years and each time I buy something new I feel like they’re getting better and better. I love their trend editions and cute, pink style.

I was at the store a week ago and (as always) hung around the Essence stand. They’re basically eye candy and it’s always so difficult to choose what to get! Some products got the “new” tag on them and this Satin touch blush really caught my eye. It’s available in three shades:  10 satin coral, 20 satin love and 30 satin bronze. I’m not much of a coral lover so I was stuck between the “satin love” one and “satin bronze”. Considering my pale complexion, I went for the pinky 20 satin love because the 03 bronze seemed like it would be too dark for my skin (I might get it though and use it as a bronzer).  I got it for 4$ and I think the price is quite low compared to the quality it offers.

Have a look at this cuteness!

The packaging is too cute, made in their unique Essence style. It’s a small compact container and you can see the shades through the clear cap.

The shade is so pretty: a rose color with a satin finish. It has a nice shimmer to it and I love that it’s so subtle – my cheeks got this pearly glow without getting too shiny.

The formula is pigmented, soft and light. It’s so easy to blend and the shade is buildable – though I always go for a subtle look and apply just a little for getting that rosy cheeks effect. The silky texture provides even and easy application and the product glides on very smoothly.

It lasts long and doesn’t move around or fade. I wore it with a primer and a setting spray so this way it works just great.

And that’s about it! As I finish writing this post I’m thinking about getting the third “bronze” shade, and if you’d like to try it out you can get this blush here.
